— SŌTŌ is a premium sake from Japan, a proud expression of the best sake brewing traditions. Its rich, complex flavor and smooth texture are a reflection of the finest Japanese sake brewing traditions. Launched in 2015 it has quickly become an award-winning premium sake.

SŌTŌ, meaning "outside" in Japanese, is an expression of the earth's purest elements brought together to make this premium natural product.

Work: For this project, my main focus is to display the brand as classy, modern, and refined. The product and the backdrop had to complement each other to reflect the company's roots. This is can be seen by the river rocks and water backdrops as a play on the brand’s expression of using earth’s purest elements.

The products were purposely shot in black and white to bring your attention to the details of the product. This is also kept with the brand as their primary colors are black and white.

Photo below: By spraying water on the product it gave the feeling of a cold, refreshing and brisk beverage. This is true because their sake is a Junmai Daiginjo, which is one of the more premium levels of sake. A higher premium sake can be enjoyed chilled in contrast to a lower level sake, majority of those are served hot to mask the taste of the alcohol and make it more enjoyable.
