— Decal Spec is a professional art + design + print studio located in Orange County/Los Angeles. We specialize in commercial print and bespoke/special projects. Our specialties are in the automotive industry and storefront spaces.

As a Design Lead, I am responsible for creating the art direction and overall design of the projects. Leading them from start to the finish, I work closely with the clients and physical production to ensure the final product is displayed as shown digitally.

Work: To the right is a step and repeat backdrop I designed for our client, Fresh N Lean on their marketing campaign for the LA Dodgers. They needed to display their branding for the shoot. What I did was a simple and effective design that brings life to the background while still sharing their branding all throughout.

Work: To the left is the artwork I created for the 2018 Historic Grand Prix, in Spokane, WA. The objective was to create a design that can be used for apparel and advertising. The influence behind the design was heavy on the vintage European rally races so I wanted the BMW to look fast and nimble, just as they are. As for color I chose period-correct shades that resembled popular colors of that era.

Work: The project on the right is the livery design created for Denis Podmarkov of Quattro Magazine / Audi North America.

The story behind the design was inspired by the vintage liveries of Audi’s DTM/Rally history. I designed it to flow with the body lines of the coupe to emphasize the car’s natural shape.

The results kept true to Audi’s branding, heritage and modern feel.
